How I Became a Trial Lawyer
After playing college basketball, I became a financial advisor, managing assets for professional athletes with whom I had built lasting relationships. I began law school to become a sports attorney, but that summer changed everything. Watching Johnnie Cochran command the courtroom during the O.J. Simpson trial was a turning point. His confidence, precision, and purpose showed me the courtroom could be the ultimate competitive arena. I didn’t lose my athlete’s mindset, I redirected it. Today, that same drive fuels my fight to get fair compensation for my injured clients.

Most people haven’t experienced the difference between a bad lawyer and a good one. Likewise, they don’t know the difference between a good lawyer and a “great” one. Even after decades of success, negative perceptions still drive and motivate me to maintain the highest levels of professionalism, competence, and preparation.
